I have a 2002 Honda Accord EX V6 Coupe and I am getting about 14 MPG in the city. I do idle ALOT. My driving habits are not super aggressive but I don't drive like a grandma either. I drive it about 5 miles round trip everyday. Is this normal because I idle so much or is there a bigger problem with my car? It has 101,000 miles and is completely stock. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

In addition to the idling, short trips are not fuel efficient.

That seems pretty low. I have had as low as 18MPG when I was going to school less than 1 mile away from home. I would have a sub 1 mile trip, followed by me idling in a parking lot for anywhere from 5-15 minutes, sometimes more for over 80% of my tank. I have an I4 but that is just extremely low. Most with an I4 would struggle to get as low as 18MPG doing anything close to legal.
