evap not ready

I took my car for inspection and it failed because the system was saying the evap system not ready. Do you have and idea what it can be or should I just take it to a emission shop so they can run that smoke test thru the system. Its a 00 v6 4dr

Did you reset the ecu recently?

Yea I did that's what I figured at firstbut its been like 2 weeks already and still says not ready

Usually for me it'd take about 1-2 days of driving for all the tests to say completed/passed. For the sake of it give a check at the evap cansiter hoses next to the driver side rear wheel. Im assuming the car is not throwing a cel for p1456 or p1457???
