What is the ideal rpm to shift at?

I drive in "eco mode" so I shift at around 2500rpms. If you really want to save gas u can try skipping gears (I usually go 1-3-5 or 1-2-4-5) but dont do it around other cars cuz the driver behind you will get pisssed of ur slow acceleration

Btw, skipping gears is terrible for your synchros. Just fyi.

Lol when I was first learning like you I was shifting at about 6k, but yeah if your lookin' to save gas, then 2500-3000 is a good range.

ive found i can drive pretty much anywhere in the city shifting at 3k car accelerates decently and maybe up to 4k and i was gettin 300miles to a tank (with a leaking flex, evap, and insufficient EGR flow) all which ive recently fixed so im hoping to get better mileage withing the next few weeks
