woo! i like how you went from silver auto to black mt, great find
It's really weird having the same car...but it's different. :ugh:
Thanks ,lol
Glad you got another man! :)
Good to see your loyal to the fam
thanks!
I told you guys I'd be back, lol.
Yeah use the handbrake for a hill start till you get used to it. I probably did that at least once last year. I drive bare foot a lot but you should stick to wearing shoes while you learn
Yeah start on an empty hill and keep right foot on brake while down on clutch. Release clutch until you feel the car being held back by the brakes and then take right foot off brake and begin using the gas pedal and do your normal transitioning. It becomes second nature after a few times, trust me.
I used the handbrake method last night in traffic and it worked good enough for me, so i'll use that until I can get more comfortable with the clutch's sweetspot.
Thanks for the advice. :)
im happy for you man!!! todays a good day
Thanks!

hurry up and put your damn wheels on... lol

Forgive me if I'm wrong. I was told by a mechanic who is a friend that the handbrake method is better since it is safer and also reduces the risk on burning your clutch.

Fwiw, I too drive a black 5spd sedan lx. 02 though. Congrats OP!
Thanks man!
I kind of wish it was an Ex, but it's whatever. Finding a 5 speed near me was enough of a challenge, I didn't have enough time to get really picky with it. The grey interior is slowly growing on me. The back seat is dirty though, you can tell the last owner had a small dog or something, but it's not too bad. I'm thinking about maybe one day getting some different seats to swap in there, maybe some black leather like unfadeable did with the tsx seats. That's far down the road, though. So it's only ideas for now.

Woo Congrats! MT FTW. Glad to see you back so soon!
Thanks :D
sweet pick up Tyler.....pspec SS or any SS should be the first mod
I'm looking at the JTC short shifter already. :)

It sucks starting from scratch again, but it is what it is.

Thanks man! Yeah at least I know the car hasn't been molested. :lawl:

It actually feels a little quicker at takeoff compared to the V6. Having control of each gear like this is soo much fun now that I've sort of gotten the hang of it. I miss the stiffness of my old coilovers, though. Handling feels weird because I had just gotten used to not having body roll, and now it's back like a bad dollar. lol

I'm really surprised in how strong this little 4cyl can be with this 5 speed. The power difference isn't really too obvious in the driver's seat because the auto was holding the v6 back so much. I'm already loving this gas mileage. haha

It's kind of cool, also, going from a 6ga v6 to a 6ga 4cyl 5 speed. I have experience in each car, now. haha
I guess I'm just a 6thgen whore. :ugh2:
