Why is it so greasy down in there lol?


But i had the stock ground wire going to the tranny split and fray on me with time to the point where it separated in 2 halves lol. They're 11-15 year old wires after all.

Oil from distributor leak or past head gasket leak maybe? lol im not 100% sure, never bothered to check down there until recently.

Well it seems to be driving fine now, just need to replace the cat. Although the check engine light hasn't come back for it yet after I disconnected battery the other day.

I need to double check that ground to alternator cable now that you mentioned it, but I probably would've noticed if it was split. So frustrating trying to figure out the real cause.
