As of 3 weeks ago, I had a: 98 accord, 03 pilot and a 98 passport. all 3 vehicles used Fram oil filter #ph3593a. so, me being the smart part I am, I purchases 7 in bulk. Well, 3 weeks ago, I sold the passport and pilot and got an 03 accord coupe. The coupe uses Fram #ph7317 oil filter. Putting the filters side by side, the 7317 filter is a bit smaller, but when I put them end to end, the rubber rings seem to line up in size.
does anyone know if I can use the 3593 filter from the 98 accord on the 03 accord? If so, that would save me a bit of money since I would already have them on hand (5 extra actually).

If the rings are the same size they should work. Just need to make sure the threads are the same size.

All Honda filters are the same thread, and gasket size. The only one different is the filter for the s2000. That's the first thing I learned while working in parts at a Honda dealer.
