Re: Life in university

Whatever has the lowest interest rates. Lol I'm not really sure as I have no student debt. I was fortunate to get scholarships and grants.

And you don't need to go to college to make six figures a year.

Lol true... I'm going to college to make seven+ figures per year, yet still be driving my CG5 as my daily and probably have couple of weekend cars to mess with.

It's all in what you want in life. If you want to go to school for 8 years and six figures of debt go for it. I just hope you get a good job to pay it off.

Main thing is do something you enjoy. Money is worthless if you are miserable.

Yup, just like the Sam Adams commercials, do something you love, and you won't work a day in your life. Or something like that.

A buddy of mine makes really good money (about 300 per day on average), and didn't even graduate high school. He owns his own business, and enjoys what he's doing (most days). Yes, he does get that WTF was I thinking days too.

Being house broke is miserable. That's where you work all the time just to pay for your house. I've seen a few friends go thru that too.

Re: Life in university

I'm not sure how big your classes are, but try to get to know your professors. That's what helped me out the most when it came to references and potential job contacts. My classes were never huge. I've had a few that had 40 students, and I've had a few that had 15. If possible, at least try to make sure the professor has attached your name to your face.

Along with that, participate in class. I know everyone says it, but it really does help you out. Your professor will treat you better if you dispute a grade. Once they know your face and name, then attach them to "good student", that opens up a lot of possibilities. I took a 5 week course in Accounting during one summer, and the professor ended up emailing me personally to tell me about a student job opening. Little did I know, he was actually the Business Division Chair for that school.

Though you may already know this if you've been through community college.

Re: Life in university

You should talk to your professors if the course is fun to study / giving you good grades. You will eventually realize how nerdy you can be. You can talk to them for a help vise versa, but you can get it from your classmates most of the time. You shouldn't be partying out on the weekend all the time. You shouldn't be forgetting about taking care of your Accord as well.

Yeah. I am not a party person anymore like I used to be few years ago (which consisted of video games, movies, and fun outdoor activies), as there are so many perverts in community here; plus, I was drilled into so much about drugs are bad and whatnot. Moving onto my CG, I still have another CV axle to be replace (both dealer and indie mech said) and still have to do an alignment.
