After pouring about $30,000 into my Z32, I've decided to turn to the infamous RB26DETT from a R33 Nissan Skyline GT-R (95-99 GT-R). This swap is more common in 240sx's because they make parts for the swap. For the 300zx, everything must be hand fabricated.

the 75 POUND awd oil pan (replaced with the RB25DET oil pan)
(that's stuff from removing the spark plugs that fell into the cylinders... it's gone now)
New valve cover set (ballin$$$ from Nissan Japan)...about $1300...ouch.
That's where I'm at right now... still waiting for the head from the machine shop, but I'll be reassembling it here in a week or so.
