I'll be honest, I work at a dealership and these things are hit or miss. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. We'll usually cut it for you and try to program it but we give no guarantees.

Since you're working at the dealer, let me ask you this. I lost my key and want the dealer to make me a new one, do I need to bring my car to the dealer in order for them to make another key?

Yes, we can't do anything without the car there.

Oh bummer...That's going to be a problem then.

I have a spare key but only able to open doors. Won't be able to start the car, is it possible to use that key for dealer to cut? As for programming, I thought the dealer can do it by looking up the vehicle vin numbers, no?

You could also try a mobile locksmith just call and make sure they can program keys first. Some can some cant. Hope this helps, i only have one set myself.
