If you're going to get coils just get them and keep them on year round, just adjust the height as needed. Just during the winter, take a special precaution to REGULARLY wash your car, especially the undercarriage, or just the undercarriage if you are so worried, and maintain your suspension in a clean state. If snow is stuck on there it's ok, don't worry about that. If sleet is frozen on with salt and sand mixed in - then be sure to wash it out. Like after a fresh snow don't worry at all, but when it's all mixed in with crap be sure it gets cleaned out. This is stuff I hope you would do regularly in the winter time anyways if you care about your car, but may as well do it with the coils on there and not worry about taking them off and putting them back on or swapping to a different suspension set - it will NOT hurt the coils to be on there as long as you take care of them like you normally should. Hope this steers you in the right direction!
