Look the new one I got from O'Reillys is half the size as the factory. It's an import direct strainer, it looks solid and good quality, but it's tiny. It's also a bit shorter. Should I reuse the old one, it's a little dirty and has 200k mi on it, I could clean it though. I'm not really liking what I have to work with here and I can't just let it sit.

The pump and strainer was $100 with a lifetime warranty. I can't just take it back and I had to get them both for the warranty, in my eyes it's not a bad deal either. I don't exactly feel like spending more money on an oem one though. I could barely see through the old one if I held it up to a light and only in some spots, so it was pretty dirty and I did not have the time or means to clean it. I kept everything just in case I need to use it in to future but right now the new one is in it with no problems and a few hundred miles on it now.
