ok so I installed an amp and sub in a 6th gen Accord today and here:
1. connected the power to the battery with the inline fuse and connected to the amp *check*

2. remote wire connected to the blue with white line behind the deck *check*

3. rca connected to the (sw) outputs at rear of deck *check*

4. rca connected to the amp *check*

5. ground cable bolted to the seat belt bolt *check*

6. ground connected to the amp *check*

7. speaker wires connected (check)

now, the problem is when all connected as previously stated above the amp does not even light up (has a led that shows power is on)

But, when i disconnect one of the rca plugs and just touch the amp case I get power and random bass......????wtf

this system/set up used to work on a previous car the only diff's are the wires.

-could it be the rca cables?

fyi. its a 2channel amp and a single 12inch sub JL

thanks for any advice

it has power but does not turn on with your ignition?

id try tap that remote wire into your ignition fuse to check if your that one wire is for the amp remote wire first.....

if it works, you can just tap it there (thats where i have my remote wires at)...
if it still doesnt, something else can be problem....

Check your ground. Make sure you scrape any paint in the area where it's grounded to the car.

It's the ground. When you fiddle with the RCA, the amp finds ground, and the amp turns on. Re attach the ground, and like shaved said, grind down the paint to bare metal.
