I'm trying to build a new sound system for my car.

So far I have decided on the Alpine idAx-100 for my Headunit
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=19353
and a Kinetik battery (though I don't know which one to get): http://www.millionbuy.com/caudio-kit-sup.html

I need a new battery anyway since my stock one tested really low.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to get some JL speakers, apparently everyone likes their quality:http://www.millionbuy.com/caudiospeakjla.html

However, I need help trying to find ones that would 1. fit in my car, and 2. mesh well with the unknown subwoofer and amp that I need to get.
Millionbuy seems to have a lot of good equipment for cheap.

I am putting in the order for some ground wires for my engine bay (a.k.a. Big3), I'm still debating on 1/0 gauge or 2 gauge.

I plan on doing the installs, so I will probably want component speakers, so I don't have to deal with the coaxial complications.

Will these fit my car? http://www.millionbuy.com/jlaxr650csi.html

Any advice you guys can give me would be great, thanks!

Like the headunit, only thing is crutchfield is selling it right now for 269.99 (ur site said 289.99) and that's with free shipping. Just something to consider.

I just did my system a couple weeks ago.. I ran into a weird problem I dunno if anyone else has had.

Every site says I need 6.5 for the front... but they didn't fit without me retrofitting a mount (I just used the plastic ring you're supposed to put over the speaker upsidedown and underneath, as a spacer). I dunno maybe Logic makes weird sized 6.5's

Those XR659-CSi's should fit in the front because they are the exact same ones i have in my car.

Those are X650's.

Are you sure they'll fit?

Also, 6thgenaccord:

I've been told that the front speakers are supposed to be 5-1/4, but the site sells 6-1/2.

Makes me a very confused person.

Actually the fronts are a 6", though you will probably have to cut out where the magnet can stick through. Most imports will use a 6", and list it as a 6.5". Almost all the manufacturers will sell a 6 and 6.5" version for that reason.
