Recommendations for Floor Jacks?

I'm going to be needed to pick up a floor jack cause I hopefully will be putting in a lot of work on my car by myself.

I was wondering if anyone had an recommendations for floor jacks, most likely low-profile to cause I might drop the ride?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Get a cheap one from harbor freight. Craftsman makes good ones too. We have both.

Re: Recommendations for Floor Jacks?

Yeah cheap is fine on floor jacks. Just get jack stands to support the car while you are under there. I got a floor jack/jack stands set at Advance Auto Parts a while back for around $30 and it has served me well so far.

Re: Recommendations for Floor Jacks?

Mines hydraulic too. But it is cheap. It takes a whole bunch of pumps (like 15-20) to get it high enough to get the wheels off the ground and get a jackstand under there on the 3rd notch. Those professional racing ones are expensive...
