CEL how do i fix this? (GOT CODE)

p0420 is the code i got. (catalyst system efficiency below threshold)
but the computer said (BANK 1) witch i called the honda dealer. and they said its the main o2 sensor.....

they want 280 buck!!

what should i do.

they replaced my cat and the code went away. the dealer told me it was nothing to do with the o2 sensors, but they could be wrong.

Sounds like there's a problem with the cat.
If it was the main O2 sensor, the code would be P013_
See if you can get a used cat.

My cat's gutted, only difference I notice is more noise. I don't know where this less tq BS comes in, feels the same to me.
