My brother in law has a 01 TL and lost the radio code. Is there anyway to look at the VIN or radio serial # to get the code, or is he gonna have to take it to the dealer?

No he called and since he didn't buy the car new, and from them, they wanna charge him $40.

isnt it inside the glovebox or something, on the side of it? there should be a card with the manual. id say look through the manual for any numbers written down by the pervious owner. thats how i found mine, and the car didnt even come with the oem unit.

yea, the dealer will deff get it, they just have to search thru records and sh!t.

you need to pull the radioo out of the dash and get the serial number off the back of the unit, after you get the serial number, call a local dealership and tell them you have a serial number for a radio and you want the code for it, they are gonna punch the serial number in and bam...you have the code. hope that helps, let us know.

i just wound up writing the code on mine with a sharpie lol
