you have to pay canon $100 to get a camera even looked at? fail :eh:

pentax gives you a written estimate...you pay shipping out to CO...they pay for it back. if you dont want it repaired, it costs you shipping one way.

/off topic

man g9's are expensive :eh: want, but not enough want at $400

Canon G9?

Good find Roy... I wonder if they do it for dSLRs? It would be nice to bump mine up to an XTi or something... probably an arm and a leg to do though...

finchy if i were you...id keep the 300D as a backup or take it apart and convert it to IR...use it only for B&W conversions...something...cause you wont get anything for it. i got $200 for the body in march 08...i paid $400 march 07.

Word... convert to IR... you make it sound difficult lol. I dunno if I want to take the 2 minutes to remove the IR filter over the sensor :skurred:

I lub my 300D anyways... those new dSLR are so complicated to use...

from the results ive seen, i personally would prefer a new filter cut...but thats just me.

shooting good ol 1970s SLRs is such a great feeling. fully manual everything ftw...
