Quick ?

I'm buying a mount kit for my CD player and I was wondering if anyone has kept the cool pocket with the door underneath the tape deck on the single DIN units?

BTW the deck I'm putting in is an Eclipse 8443 w/4 8v preamp outputs, built in xo *so you could run an active 3-way or 2-way, time alignment, and one complicated parametric EQ. I love that deck sooooooo much.

I have the eclipse 8053 with 16v balanced preouts and I love eclipse decks

They have some amazing EQ's.

I kept my OEM pocket. Just mount the radio to the factory brackets.

when you use the oem pocket you don't use the "cage" the headunit comes with. You mount the brackets directly to the side of the headunit

i have the OEM pocket too. looks the cleanest id say. dont even buy that moounting kit, you dont need it.

see if you can get an OEM tape deck with the bracketing and pocket all in one. thats what i did, it was only $20.
