So the owner prior to me, changed it over synthetic. I'm not sure of the brand. What should I use....My tuner friends say use royal purple, but I'm not buying into it...What's the best?

I use mobil 1 synthetic and always will. I used royal purple when I had my mitsubishi eclipse but I like mobil 1
