Chido's 240sx build (slow build)

1990 240sx se fastback basically a 180sx
Been sitting in a friends garage for 2 years after picking it up in hopes of building a hardcore drift car. Buying it from him for pennies. Saw the car over the weekend and we made a deal. It has a blown head gasket so i gotta pick up a new one swap it out and take it. Car is in excellent condition for it's year.

Pros:
cheap
perfect base
Near mint interior and exterior
garage kept = zero rust.....zero
Easy fix
I've wanted one of these well before they became "popular"

Cons:
Blown head gasket on the Ka24e
Blue interior
passenger side fender damaged
Scuff on the front bumper
hasn't been started in 2 years
Autotragic (will be remedied with an SR20det and manual swap)

SR20DET motor w/5speed swap

think 240's look better with the back taillights all red or if you really ballin' go kouki taillights, those are sex!

Hopefully going black top.

I'll also be doing some DIY mods too, such as the sleepy eye mod, black interior, and the OEM 180sx or kouki tails are a must.

Still undecided on the front end, should i stay true to the 180 or go with the s13 front, I'm also quite partial to the s14 kouki front. I think i saw it once on a hatch and it looked sexy

I think you should stay true on the front even though the other ones do look sexy. We would always joke on this guy that passed by our job that had a 240 modded to look like a Silvia. You don't wanna be "That Guy" if you know what i mean. People will appreciate your ride for what it is when you get it right and especially when you get it tight.

i love the oem 180sx type x front end aka the 180 kouki front end.

Yeah the 180sx front has really grown on me over the years

got a ton of research to do, I want to build this thing rigth the first time around.

good luck on your build, shouldnt be to hard looking for parts since 240 are in almost every junkyard haha

have you thought about doing a CA swap? those motors tend to handle boost better, they're usually a bit cheaper and much less common
