Ok so my buddy is going to buy one of these cheap $45 steering wheel swaps, and I'm trying to convince him not to. Other than the obvious..(cheap, no-name, and ricey), is there any real problem with these types of wheels? I mean, has anyone used one or tried to install one of these cheap ones not using the NGR short hub adapt? I think I can talk him into a TL wheel if the airbag swaps straight up, and from what I've read they do....I am right?

^^nice find.

the main thing i could think of that could make them really bad is if they can hold up during a wreck or are they going to break and become an object that can hurt the driver more

Not worth it for sure. Very dangerous in an accident. Make sure you have a legit steering wheel which won't bend on you.

agreed. i installed one on my 240sx and everything was fine. it was a solid wheel. but on my friends ep3 the wheel was weak and flimsy, the holes wouldnt line up to put the bolts on, too much pressure when turning and the horn goes off.

i suggest not risking it and to go buy a REAL steering wheel.
