I searched the forum and I couldn't come up with any answers, I hope this is in the right sections also. I wanted to know the difference between.

Checked it out online too, and I couldn't get any real-good information, hoping someone around here can answer my questions x-x; Thanks in advance.

Btw, where would I go to get a sig made?

Damn guess I really didn't look hard enough, but that doesn't get at what the difference is between the V1, and the V2 CAI's, got any information on that one? heh.

V2 Intakes

AEM’s V2 intake systems use a patented dual chamber design to produce the most power and torque of any other intake system available—even our own Cold Air systems.

On a dyno graph, the area under the power band (or power curve) represents the amount of effort that an engine is producing. The larger the overall area under the curve, the more power your engine is making. The AEM V2 utilizes a dual chamber (using two different diameters and lengths of piping) that creates multiple frequency sound waves to produce the largest area under the curve of any intake system on the market. These sound waves help charge the cylinders with more air throughout the entire rpm range and are what enables the V2 to outperform even our own Cold Air systems.

We have found that inlet length plays a vital role in the power production of V2 systems and not all V2 induction systems relocate the filter outside of the engine compartment. In these cases, we performed extensive temperature testing to locate the filter in the coolest area of the engine compartment to achieve the lowest inlet temperatures possible. Please refer to our temperature testing procedures for more information.

Thanks, guess thats the one I'm going to be looking at getting. Along with a bypass valve (thanks to the other thread you linked)

if your going to get a CAI and want a bypass valve dont get the V2 it disrupts that sound wave resonance thing.

The installation of the AEM Bypass Valve would disrupt the tuning of these systems, and in many cases the tube diameter of V2 systems exceeds the maximum size of the AEM BPV making it impossible to install.

Wow, now that sucks, so just to ask, V2, or V1.

I wanted the bypass valve as like a just incase thing, so if I can't get it with the V2, maybe its a bad idea? I live in southern Louisiana, and we get quite a bit of rain down here, and its usually alot, so a bypass valve would be a definite good thing.

I would look into an Injen Short Ram w/ the Cold Air Extension. You can use it as a cold air during the summer or whatever, once the rainy season comes along or you suddeenly get caught in a flash flood or something, you can remove the extension and place the filter on the short ram pipe and your safe.
