I may not sell my T1-R's so I am considering getting a set of rims for em. I wanted 3G TL wheels but the tires are 215/50/17 so I think they would be too stretched on an 8" wheel.

Looking for 17x7.5 but may consider others, just throw it out there. Thanks.

Re: a home for my T1-R's - 17" rims

You are selling your current wheels?

Nope, I'm looking for some decent 17" rims to put these tires on as I may not sell them. I changed the title since I confused you, lol.

I just put 215/45s on my 17x8s. I can post a pic if you wanna see the stretch.

Yeah I'd like to see them, thanks.

I don't know if the 50 series tires you have will make any visible difference in the appearance.

^Yeah I'm not sure either. There is definitely noticeable stretch though. I'm lowered 1.5" and am thinking my car would look dumb with stretched tires, which is why I was shying away from a 8" rim.

How low are you?

Pro Kits, eh? lol. Same here. This small stretch works on your car though...so maybe my car wouldn't look as bad as I keep thinking.

My guess would be if anything a higher profile would cause less stretch, since there would be more material there to distribute the stretch?

What kind of tires are those?
