OEM Tailights Question

OEM Tail Lights Question I have Oem Tailights... I was wondering how to take out the housing so I could redo the painting on the signal Light paint... It like chrome paint.. I was trying to take out the plastic housing but I couldn't .. can someone let me know how to do it without breaking it ??? Thanks

You'll have to heat them up w/ a heat gun or in the oven to soften the silicone that holds them together. Becarefule not to melt them.

Why would you need to touch it up? Does it wear out?

yes, exactally the same, except with tail lights.

mines doing the same thing, but it doesnt really effect it too much, so i really dont care about it, haha, i actually scraped as much of it as i could out. and my tails are tinted across the top and you can still see the blinker fine, even during the middle of the day on the brightest day you can think of, haha, really tho, theyre perfectally visible.
