I'm about to buy an engine off of a 2008 tl type s.
within atleast24hours and I'm sure this engine will fit its a J35a8?
Just want some feedback from the crew will it fit ? I'm getting it for $500 maybe$400...

anything wrong with it?
and it will fit, im not sure of the extent of mods youll have to do to make it fit, you should talk to mikeymike

What all comes with it? Sounds like a steal to me. There is a 7thgen coupe that has the swap over at v6p.net

It runs, it just has knocking rods, but that an easy fix.
its comng with the wire harness too.
all i would need is the ecu

I'm at the shop right now looking at it, the guy pulling it off thinks it was overheated but he is not to sure, so as of now the conditions of the engine are still pending.
Worst case scenario, I can use the intake manifold and other stuff on my engine and sell it for parts

Do you guys think the internals off of the j35a8 would fit our j30s?
Or even the intake manifold?

The j35 bore size is bigger than j32. Stroke is probqbly different too, just buy the engine
