To make a long story short..I noticed oil in my coolant last year.
http://www.6thgenaccord.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28975&highlight=engine+options

Then, I went and had the head taken to Car Quest machine shop, to have it checked. It was decked 4 times(i guess .001 " each time?), a bent valve was replaced, and I assumed it was pressure checked. Then, i noticed it was still doing the same then yet again. Found a bottom end, did a rebuilt, and got someone to put that in for me. Then after 8,000 miles I am seeing oil in coolant. Is it possible the head warped again? Or it cracked the first time and was never found? Two different blocks, two different mechanics, and same cylinder head...F23A4.

Does anyone know a good place to find a cylinder for my car, that has a garaunteed warantee?

lesson learned, always pay the $25 extra to have the machine shop magnaflux the head to look for cracks, before you pay them to machine it.

it's sad, but some machine shops will charge you to machine a head, and never bother to check it for cracks if you don't ask.

Personally I go to the pick n pull and pull one and take it to a trusted machine shop, but if you don't have a trusted machine shop that head doesn't look like a bad deal.

F22b and F23A casting numbers (POA&PAA) respectively are the same heads. Does that seem right? Here is a reply from an ebay seller......
Hi,
We have that head listed at item number 350455531769. The POA and PAA heads are the same.
Thanks, Tim

Recieved my rebuilt head from Clearwater Cylinder with 2 yr warranty recently which i'm hoping to install next week. Added a few photos and a couple random photos of the Accord included.

Deck surface was flawlessly clean last week when i recieved, now it has a slight milky haze to it. No biggie i'm sure.

the haze is from the protecting oil/wax.

Hose it off with brake cleaner before installation.

Did you check the head gasket or the seals? I remember on my mom's 05 civic EX, I never had time to change the water pump then it lead to a blown head gasket. Found alot of oil in the coolant. Got the whole head gasket kit and now it's running like how it's suppose to.

Yay, another 6thgen repping the 5th gen ex wheels.
