Back in december my car took in a small amount of water in one cylinder when it flooded and so far we've gotten the water out, it has new spark plugs, new starter, new battery, and the head and intake manifold was taken off cleaned and checked and its all good. But the car still wont start, any ideas?
I dont know if it helps but its the a1 5speed
Here's a link to what it sounds like when you try to start it.

hmm..sounds like a starting system issue but since water got to one of the cylinder, i'm afraid your engine might of froze. i suggest you rotate the engine manually to see if it spins or not. if it does, check your starter/starting system.

was it ran or turned over with water in the cylinder?

It's not hydrolocked if you didn't run it and you took the head off.

If you tried to start it with water in it you may have bent a rod.

Turn it over by hand as suggested. If it turns over you've got a starter issue. Check the battery cable thoroughly, a weak ground will cause just a solenoid click.
