S2k Retrofit Rebuild

So to begin with, some of you already know about these retros. I decided to rebuild them because one of the headlights was rattling and I wanted to blackhouse them and add the clear strip to 'em.

Problems from before:
Both high beams sat low on the road so there was no purpose in using them.
Drivers side headlight was not attached to the reflector, so it would move freely in every direction.

This isn't a detailed DIY just a quick rebuild thread with pictures of the process.

Shipped in, they got here on my birthday ftw!

The cutoff, the drivers projector was the one that would rattle and this is why the drivers side is lower at the cutoff.

Getting ready!

Drivers side. Notice half of the reflector is still attached to the projector.

Had to use another set of headlights and started my first retro.

test fitting the e46 shrouds.

Lining up for the cutoff.

Put back together with black housings and clear strips.

Before:

After:

High beams are no longer an issue.

C&C welcome.

Re: S2k Retrofit Rebuild

Big improvement. The A4 shrouds or whatever were on the old ones are not very flattering. Nice work, enjoy!

Great work man! What do they look like from the back side, would you have a pic? That's a solid retro right there.
