3.0 v6 help

I have a 98 accord 2dr auto I just bought the car 2 days ago and it starts up annd idels fine but when u push the gas it acts like it has a really bad missfire and it wont rev past 5000 rpms I don't know if it just needs a full tune up or if its a senser sumwhere? If u push the gas real lightly when driving it will drive ok but u push to hard it falls on its face till u let off can anyone help me out with this? I am new to the site would appreciate all the help I can get

What's cel? And for gas mileage I wont drive it cuz of how it runs and if its not the cat is there anything else it can be?

Kinda sounds like a coil pack is bad, but he said it idles fine.

Go to Advance Auto, etc, to get a free OBDII scan check.
See if you can get the ODBII scanned to check for any error codes and any "pending" codes.

check your codes, just because you dont have a CEL doesnt mean you dont have codes. Sounds like something electrical to me like a sensor

while having the trans replaced they clogged up the O2 sensor and the car behaved just like you described after the install. They cleaned it out and it fixed the problem.
