Ok, so i bought a bluetooth kit awhile ago. It doesn't work with amped speakers (the mute function cuts the stereo, which cuts the amp). I was using my stock speakers which were plenty loud but too big to mount. The volume is too low on the small, low quality, aftermarket speakers i bought. I would imagine the amp in my bluetooth kit is around 2-4 watts rms.
So far, my first conclusion is to install a headphone amp. They are around $20 for a cheap one. But the problem is, the are not 12 volt, and i'd have to convert to rca or more like 1/4 in trs plugs. That's fine, just a pain. But i don't want an ac inverter hooked up really. I don't even think i should be looking into car audio, probably something for other applications. Soundquality is no priority, as long as it is good enough to hear. Any suggestions are welcome, the cheaper, and easier, the better. 12 volt is a huge plus. Smaller, the better.
