i had some rust spots in my hood, so i sanded them out and repainted, BUT it didn't turn out that well, and is definitely noticeable :(

what's me best option to get back to the stock look (or something better, but nothing flashy)?

re-paint? junk yard? ebay? something else?

how much would each option cost?

i'm looking for the cheapest thing possible. i figure the junk yard would be cheapest, but what are the odds they'll have a hood in good shape?

98-00 sedan (v6 or 4cyl) should fit no problem,

if u put 01-02 there mite be a gap i think.. or was it the other way around....

how much are you looking to spend on a hood?

why not go for a CF Hood? $300 for a OEM VIS hood ($400+ for Siebon), and you'll save more money because you wont have to paint the hood... and plus, a CF Hood looks good with any color car

98-00 hoods have a crease in them, the 01-02 hoods are kinda lifted up where the crease in the 98-00 hoods are. the only difference would be if you have a sedan and got a coupe hood. all sedan hoods, 98-02, should fit fine on your car, but denpending on your model year, you have to get either the 98-02 style or 01-02 style.

i'm looking at trying to pick one up for ~$100 in good shape (hopefully already black).

the first link found one (for my car, model, year, color) within driving distance and about $135.

i'm going to look into it. if i also look at 98's and 00's i might find some more.

$400+ is just not gonna happen :(

where can you get a CF hood for 300 from VIS?.....u sure?

i think he meant $300 for an OEM, so i should just spend a bit more and get the CF.

i'm still hoping to spend <$100 on a junkyard hood in (very) good condition.
