i was thinking of swapping a coupe front end onto my sedan. i did some searching but still have some questions.

this is my understanding:
bumper cover fits on without modification (bolt on)
coupe hood is required or there will be a gap

is that correct?

are the headlights the exact same?
is the "grill" area of the coupe a separate piece?

thanks for any help.

and if anyone has a pic of the coupe bumper/hood on a sedan (with the center grill removed) that'd be great.

did some more searching and it seems that only the 98-00 coupe bumpers have the removable grill. i guess that's what i want.

this is what i'd like (except on my sedan):

but is it the 01-02 bumper that has the holes at the bottom?

i wanted those AND the removable grill :(

maybe i'll just get a new sedan hood and give up on the coupe bumper.

yeah 01-02 has the holes at the bottom...and also has removable grill.

You need The fllowing parts

1.Coupe Front bumper
2.Coupe hood (you my want the coupe hood cuz there will be a big gap due to the couprs has larger hood)
3. I think you need the upper piece of metal that holds the grill not sure.

so the 01-02 does have holes AND a removable grill?

that's good to know, plan is back on.

in one the threads i found, someone mentioned doing the swap and not needing the new mounting bracket.

maybe that was coupe/sedan of the same year? i'd be putting a 01-02 coupe bumper on a 99 sedan.

another thread mentioned being able to cut a ledge off of something (bumper cover or metal bracket, not sure which) and then it'd fit.

first i'll have to try and find a junk yard with the parts..........

oh, and i'd probably be getting the coupe hood to go with it. my hood has some cosmetic damage which is why i wanted to do this in the first place.

lol look at my sig I did it too

as far as the fenders go they line up fine theeres only a small difference from the coupe fender and a sedan fender and that is the strange bend that follows the headlight

all that I have had to do to mine was coupe grill and coupe hood
