i am getting close to the time when i need to replace my plugs. do i need to do anything special to get the plug covers off? they look different than the style i see on most cars. do they just pull off like regular wires?

thanks

Are you changing the wires too? If you are make sure that you remember the sequence that they go in or else you car is not going to run right.

Make sure to properly gap your plugs. I know the NGKs and Bosch are pre-gapped but I would check to be safe. Also, don't over torque your plugs.

The wires should just pop out. When you put em back in, make sure they click into place.

like klee said, don't crank on the wrench when you go to tighten in the new spark plugs. it's an aluminum head so you can mess up the thread pretty easy. i think you're only suppose to use like 8lbs of tq to tighten them or something, which isn't hardly any pressure

^^I think the torque specs are 'snug'-not sure if that's exact, though. I might be a few lbs off.
