after seeing this thread:

http://www.6thgenaccord.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4965

i decided i might as well introduce myself (since i never have).

i have a 99 accord lx sedan (black, 4cyl)

here's my thread in "Member's Rides"

http://www.6thgenaccord.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4770

and here's some other (hopefully somewhat useful/interesting threads i've made):

DIY Cold Air Intake
DIY Blacked Out Headlights
Installing an eBay Short Shifter Adapter
0-60 Videos
Subwoofer Videos (no longer have subs)

My planned mods include:
lowering (eibach pro kit)
98-00 coupe bumper/hood
"type r"-style mesh grill
either tyc's or new oem headlights (which i will blackhouse again)
then maybe red/clear tails
if i get the tyc's then maybe tsx projectors/hid
and lastly tint/lip kit

i'm guessing a lot of this may or may not happen, but i'd like to at least lower
it and re-do the front end (cosmetic damage), so the coupe swap makes
sense. i'm definitely trying to keep it looking clean.

i had been having some major oil consumption problems, so my car is currently
getting a motor swap (for another f23a1 with less miles).hopefully i'll have it
back sometime soon :(

btw, i think this forum is great! it's really the only place i check (other than
e-mail) when i go on my computer. i just wish it had a little more traffic.

welcome.... time for lowering ;p

If you're doing a motor swap, why are you swapping for a similar lower performance motor? I mean, if you're paying for the labor, might as well dish out some more money and get a higher end swap, such as H22, J30A2 etc

lowering will hopefully come this spring.

swap is already done:

http://www.6thgenaccord.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5033

$300 for a motor with 35k miles (and it's a direct drop in, so 10hrs labor) :driving:

plus it's my only car, so i couldn't be without it very long, don't have any excess money, and i don't really plan on doing any other performance mods. :D

just being without it for 4 days was making me go crazy!!!! :bash:
