Varnell's '99 J37 Stroker 6MT Coupe EX-L

Picked this car up for $2,000 on Halloween 2014. It definitely needed some work but I was happy to pick up a project car. The strut towers had already been cut and the exhaust sounded surprisingly good with ebay mufflers.

The inspiration:

Completed Projects:

-J32A2 Engine (2003 Acura CL Type S)
-6MT LSD (2003 Acura CL Type S)
-'03 CL Type S Steering Wheel
-DIY Hood Spacers
-Blackhoused Retros
-BC Racing Coilovers /w Swift Springs 14k/12k
-BBK 4 Piston (2006 RL)
-12.8" Rotors (2006 350Z Brembo)
-EBC Red Stuff Brake Pads
-StopTech SS Brake Lines
-Neuspeed/TL strut bar combo
-Ingall's Upper Control Arms
-Megan Rear Camber Arms
-Eibach Front/Rear Anti-sway bars
-Spoiler delete
-Windhield Wiper Fluid delete
-Backseat delete
-Interior delete

Current Projects:

-J37 NA Stroker (2007 MDX Crank, Rods, Pistons, 2008 TL-S Cams, Valve Springs)
-J37 Intake Manifold (2009 TL SH-AWD)
-05 RSX Seats
-Wings West Typ W Sedan lip kit
-Weight Reduction

Future Projects:

-Welded Fender Flares
-Custom Lightweight Trunk Floorboard (brackets for subs)
-Windows/Rear 20% Tint
-Windshield 50% Tint
-Black Vinyl over antenna dots
-Type R Grill
-Dynamat Trunk/Doors
-Pilot rear BBK
-Battery Relocation
-Big Country Labs Spoiler

Newest to Oldest:

Yea, it was one of those Hondas...

The interior is in great condition, excluding the driver's seat and steering wheel.

I got to work the first morning tearing off all aftermarket parts I saw (fiberglass fenders were the first thing I ripped off).

Re: Varnell's '99 V6 Coupe EX-L

i know before you had a sedan and switched to a coupe so do you like the coupes more than the sedan? Do you miss anything about your sedan? Good pick up. Wish I could buy a v6. I would probably try and find a white v6 sedan if I got one

Re: Varnell's '99 V6 Coupe EX-L

Jordan, I used to hate the look of the coupes. I'm still not a fan of the 01-02 coupe front bumper. I even disliked the tail lights. After picking up a black coupe 5spd with black leather interior, I fell in love with accords all over again, though. I'm hoping the same will happen with a J32 six speed. I miss the sedan mostly because it was my first car and I thought there were no limits to what I could do with it. I took a few miscellaneous parts out of it the day it was salvaged. I have a tan change tray in my coupe, for example.

Yep, both parked in the driveway looking sexy. lol I'm not sure what you're referring to. The first or last picture? It might just be the reflection of the wheel in my yard.

I'm debating whether to put it back to stock and sell it or drop a comparatively cheap F23/H22 in it.

I don't think he said anything about having an 01-02 coupe bumper, just him having a dislike for them. You can buy them on eBay for like $70 ready for paint
