I'm thinking of getting a small mtx amp http://www.crutchfield.com/S-SpA2SvJHzKK/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=120&I=236TC3001 for my g35 and I will be connecting it with speaker level inputs. I don't want to change out the radio so I will use the speaker level inputs. My question is do you have to tap into both rear speakers or will one speaker +/- work for an input. Thanks

I tried it on my alpine amp when i was thinking about staying with the stock HU. You have to use both speakers to get it to be stereo. Otherwise you will only get the signal off the R or L side, whichever you do.
I did find it to be pretty noisy though. If you can afford the JL cleansweep, i think you would be much more happy with the soundquality.
EDIT-My bad, didn't check the link, it a mono amp. I don't know then, it shouldn't matter, if the the amp will work fine with one speaker input.
