Here is our engine and chassis codes just in case anyone wanted to know.

Engine Codes:
F23A5 2.3L USDM SOHC 98+ Accord DX 135hp
F23A1 2.3L USDM SOHC VTEC 98+ Accord EX & LX/98-99 2.3CL 150hp
F23A4 2.3L USDM SOHC ULEV VTEC 98+ Accord EX & LX 148hp
J30A1 3.0L USDM SOHC VTEC V6 98-02 Accord V6/97-99 3.2CL 200hp

Chassis Code:
1998-2002 Honda Accord, CG

That's correct. All the 6th gen Accords (4 & 6cyl) were SOHC motors Actually All US Accords up to the 6th gen were SOHC. The 7th gen 4cyl now has DOHC while the V6 still has SOHC

wth... that's so weird.. I used to think all the V6 must've been DOHC, well I guess not. still glad that i own a1. =)

me too, less chance of tranny probs with the autos

......and we can do a 5 speed swap easily, well, its easier........but also, its no 6 speed either.
