amp cuts

Question. Whenever I turn my music high, my amp cuts out, does that mean my amp is pretty much useless?

yeah i turned the gain all the way down, but now if i turn my system up louder it cuts out. it used to be able to play really loud

check all connections going to your amp and see if anything is loose.

Which amp is cutting out? your highs amp or your lows amp?

Check grounds for sure.

You may need to upgrade your ground wire(s) as well.

does it cut intermittently when turned up or does it shut off completely at higher volumes?

and is this a sub amp or full range? how many amps in the system? using a head unit's internal amp for the speakers?

It's sounds like he's clipping the subs... is your amp overpowering them?

Make/model/specs on equipment plz.
