burst brake line

Had a rear brake line let go recently and the pedal when straight to the floor. Is there not a safety backup in modern brake systems that still keeps enough fluid in 2 of 4 wheels so there is not complete brake loss when 1 line breaks? I ended up having to use the handbrake as my braking to limp to safety.

No backup on these. best thing you can do is check all your lines to make sure it doesn't happen again.
