So I ordered a set of BC Racing coilovers with the swift springs. Got the email today that they are finally in the mail. This will be my first time installing coils myself but I'm pretty handy so I'm pretty confident that I can do the job. My question is do I need to have any other parts on hand or is there anything I should pay particular attention to when installing them? I see people talking about upper and lower control arms , ball joints, camber kits. I'm running 19x8 +48 volk gts. Had them from an old car. That might change soon. Thanks for any help.

Will try to post pics soon

Finally got my coils today they are really nice. Can't wait to install them but that will have to wait until this weekend. It's been 4 weeks since I ordered them it's been a long 4 weeks. Well I just thought I would give a quick update even thou it doesn't seem like anyone is interested but that's ok I'm super excited. Thanks for your time and I hope everyone is having a head day.
Will post pics of completion

What made you go with the BCs? They make a good suspension, but I think this is my first time hearing of them on an Accord.

I did a bunch of research and didn't find anyone that had much negative to say about them. There is actually a few people on here that are running them. I liked that I could upgrade the springs and get custome spring rates. And they will give me the drop I wand and still give me a good ride quality although it will be pretty stiff I'm sure. I have no previous experience with them so time will tell. Every thing I read said they were decent quality and didn't cost an arm and a leg lol ...

Do they have the adjustable dampening? The BC extreme low coils I put on my best friend's WRX had adjustable dampening and camber plates. They were nice and ride nice! There were 31 or 32 clicks on the soft to stiff dampening scale. It was pretty low so we set it at 20 so it was on the stiffer side thinking that would keep it from bottoming out and it rode like garbage so he made it stiffer and stiffer. I drove the car two days later and found that he had ended up turning it all the way to max stiffness. The car didn't brake properly or anything so I turned it way down to 16 and right around 10 ended up being the nice number. Car rode beautiful after that.

Right on thanks for the info. Yeah they have have the adjustable dampening but no camber plates. I'll have to play with them to find the sweet spot. I got the extreme low kit too I think it's a 4 1/2" max drop

Well I got them in. Whoever said the rear is easer then the front was wrong getting the old strut out was kinda a pain but after I figured it out it wasn't bad but I had to in bolt the bracket that holds the sway bar to the knuckle and un bold the sway bar from the rear.
And if you do one side at a time in the front there is a massive amount of tension on whichever side you do last. After I did the passenger side and got it all put back together I put it on the ground and went to the drivers side. When I took the bottom bolt that attaches the damper fork to the knuckle the whole wheel assembly shot up like a rocket. Almost took my head off only thing that stopped it from slamming me in the face was the axel hitting the damper fork. I had to raise the passenger side back up and undo the coilovers from the damper fork in order to get the tension off the driver side to get the old strut out. In all my research no body said anything about these issues. Well now I know and hopefully if anyone else does this they will too. It looks good but rubs in the front so I'm going to raise it up a little and maybe take out the inner fender well

I ran into the same problem with the front installation. When I installed the first front coilover, the other side had to much tension. I kept on trying to hammer out the bolt but it just did not budge. I end up jacking up the other side of the car and the tension was relieved. Then, I was able to hammer out the bolt. It took so long.

The back coilovers were easier for me to install. Just a few bolt.:)

yeah i jacked up the other side and it sill had a lot of tension didn't release until i unbolted the coilover and let the wheel hub assembly down then i could get the driver side out but i had to push down really hard on the rotor to get the damper fork off. every thing i read said to support it so it didn't fall to the ground, boy was that wrong.
