My Accord burnt a few valves late in the summer of 2021 and I replaced the engine that had that happen with a 60k mile motor. The block has been sitting sans head and belts, and I've got a friend that's offering me $30 for it to turn into a table.
Is it reasonable to get more than $30 for it either selling it to someone or taking it to a scrapyard somewhere in Rochester, NY? The rear main seal leaks and a new head would be needed, and plausibly a valve cover gasket and some other bits and bobs, but the block wouldn't need much more to be functional. There's no metal flakes in the oil and the cylinder bores don't look bad at all.
Originally, I'd had the idea to rebuild it, turbo it, and throw in my sedan, but between the cost of 93 and the economy, that seems irresponsible.
