Heater control buttons working sometimes

1999 accord, I've only had it a few months now. The heater control buttons went out one day and since only work now and then. It's getting cold here and I need the heater. Once the they work the heater works great, but when the green lights wont come I cant switch from defrost to heater or cooler etc. Thanks Ron

Loose connection. Take the controls out and move the wires around by hand till you find the problem. Do this with the power on and heat on.

Either this or it is internal and part of the circuit board inside the controls.
