How to restore my brakes' strength like a new car?

My cars' brake is not as strong as before anymore. Let say brand new car has 100% brake power. My car has only 80% power. I have to press harder to slow down at the same rate with a new car. My brake pads are very thick. Please help.

By thick, I'm assuming you mean your brake pads are relatively new.

Make sure your brake fluid level is good. You can bleed and replace your brake fluid, upgrade to stainless steel brake lines, rebuild your calipers, check master cylinder for leaks.
