Don't get too excited yet....

http://www.glocktalk.com/threads/do-not-buy-nissan-products.1597283/

Over on GlockTalk.com, a guy rebuilt his own Nissan transmission but needed to have the PCM programmed for the valve body. Nissan refuses to program it for him. Third party's can no longer program that valve body PCM either, per Nissan corporate.

So, you can still tinker with your car, but if you need some programming from the Car company, they might just say "Nope, can't help you."

I can see where they are coming from. They don't really know how well he rebuild it, and then the trans fails, and it comes back to Nissan. I don't agree with it, but I see their point.

Yes the EPA is currently trying to ban the modification of street cars. Everyone sign this petition
https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/pe...posal-prohibit-conversion-vehicles-racecars-0
Make sure to click the link in the email they'll send you otherwise your vote won't count

If you've already signed the one of change.org, still sign this one. The change.org one will make no difference.

I signed it this morning when there were only 46000 signatures so far so this petition seems to be moving very well. Keep the spread up.

I never seen this thread before and who ever thinks we shouldn't work on our own cars can go F^(K THEMSELFS!!:flipthebird:

I will work/modd my own vehicles until the day I die and know one is going to stop me.

Will my vote count if I'm Canadian?
