Mine has never been on... Not even when I start the car and all the dash lights briefly come on

actually come to think of it.. mine used to do back in the day. but i haven't seen it in years.

Might be the bulb but it can also the sensor went out so its not turning the light on. You shouldn't be running your car that low anyways as its not good for your fuel pump. Also, i believe the low fuel light doesnt turn on when you put your key to position 2. Mine still works but never lights up in position 2.

Im gonna go ahead and troll here and say that mine's never come on either but thats because I never let it get that low.

But, no, seriously, it's probably the sending unit.
