Hi guys!
I need opinions if MSDs ignition products work with our cars. they have it for the preludes and what not. the distributor cap does actually fit. im just curious if the external ignition coils would work and everything. below are some of the sites ive visited trying to figure out this thing because i ordered the cap and rotor kit not realizing it wouldn't work without all the external stuff.

Let me know what you think! thanks! MSDs website has actual instructions on how to put them together by the way

They all work on our cars if you modify the cap wiring, and looks like you got the modified cap. and just wire in the 6AL and the blaster and your good to go. It's what I got on mine. You'll hear several different opinions on this site, along with anyone/anywhere else you go...

But it will be pointless honestly unless you have a lot of work done to the car. There will not be any sort of gains off of using this on a stock motor. will help down the road when you go turbo (mainly on higher boost).

Just curious why you are looking into getting an MSD setup?

i was just looking for a cap and rotor cause i need to replace them and i saw this for the same price and just figured why not. stupidly i didn't research it and didn't realize i needed all of that to make it work.
so it would be a waste of my money to just buy the rest of it? no HP or Torque gains whatsoever on the stock motor? ill probably go turbo someday, but not until after college someday. lol

Honestly, yes. You will only see minimal gains if any on a stock motor. I would just try to return it.... But you should be able to run that cap and rotor without the use of a blaster coil and ignition system and be able to add it later date and be okay without running it now though.

You WILL NOT see any gains from these products.

The stock ignition system is good to over 500whp and doesnt need to be modified until then.

Save you money.
