stock head unit specs - 30x4 max for the 2002 ex stereos. guarantee those are max specs lol, which would put RMS around 12 watts or so. source.

Holy crap! I was nearly dead on with my guess!

Good luck Rizzy... I think it's time you upgrade the HU.

Your using your factory radio, so my question to you is where are you getting the SOURCE for the Amp?

um... :eusa_wall:

The only thing i can figure is that the LOC i put in is not adjusted properly.
I'm fairly sure it is the LOC then.
the LOC is 50 watt adjustable so im assuming it should be adjusted to match the output of the HU.

converters just take you from speaker wire to rca, it'd be pretty silly to buy one (a LOC) if your amp had connections for speaker wire. if they make some that can also switch a remote wire on or off, like I think Fuzz is suggesting, then get one. although $30 on a new LOC could be spent towards a head unit too, and those are really damn cheap nowadays (like $80-100 for a decent one)

you can try line-level / speaker wire inputs if your amp has the connections, but the amp will still stay on until whatever your remote wire is connected to turns off. that's all the remote wire does, is tell your amp when to turn on and off.

and yeah finch damn good guess haha
