no 168 lights work on trunk

ive been driving for god knows how long with no license plate light

• tried 4 bulbs (168) in that socket and nothing.
• checked fuse 10 (10A) on the passenger side...still good.
• replaced it with a new 10A fuse...still nothing.
• then i saw the 168 marker lights in the trunk arent working either, but the reverse lights do.

none of the 168 bulbs on the trunk work...none are blown...wtf...the rest of the 1157 or whatever are back there work fine.

is there a secret fuse somewhere in the trunk lid? why do only the 168 bulbs not work? and the goddamn plastic clip thinger on the side of the lens broke off after the assembly was already out of the trunk so a $free fix turns into a $15 one...story of my life.

i havent been pulled over yet...but its kind of suspicious that all 168s dont work.

Time to use a test light/multimeter and track that ish down.

fixed yesterday

it looks like someone tried to splice something into the harness a long time ago

and a backup light went out after everything was fixed...now my reverse lights are purple
