What are you wanting to accomplish with this alternator?
If you want more electrical power you must free up a lot of choke points and high resistance paths. The big 3 is a minimal upgrade. I went from 13.8 to 14.3 volts at the rear of my Exploder by adding a lot of ground straps. A 4 gauge ground from the alternator case to the battery negative. My battery negative to chassis was a 0 gauge. If you have an amp in the back I would recommend running a dedicated ground along with the power wire but also ground the amp to the chassis.
Electricity takes ALL paths. Not just the path of least resistance.
Factory wiring is large enough to handle factory electronics.
