poly mount inserts?

I was wondering, i know they dont make any for the 6th gen but wont the 94-97 poly mount inserts work on ours? j/w

Yes they do. I havent dont the rear one yet, but the front is very straight forward. I posted a DIY on here about it. Search "Prothane"

Totalimmortal, how is the vibration with only the front mount in there?

It vibrates...

Something I found out this weekend...the EX's (atleast wildman's) has a cast aluminum front engine mount. It's gotta be better than our POS stamped steel piece.

Im totally used to it now, it takes about a week and you dont even notice it.

I may look into that, possibly replace mine. Aluminum is MUCH stiffer than steel. I want to say if you have a vice, you could press the inserts in more so they'll look nicer insted of hanging out. I cant get mine out though :mad: .

I used a table vice to get mine in w/ some help from a can of WD40. You should probably trim like 1/8" off either side before inserting them. I think that's why they stick out so much.
